100 Million Dollar Club Yachts

Story by Anton Adianto

Famed musician David Lee Roth from the heavy metal group Van Halen once made a tongue in cheek comment, “Money can’t buy you happiness, but it can buy you a yacht big enough to pull up right alongside it.” Long considered the ultimate nautical symbol of wealth and luxury, owning a yacht means having to cough up tens to hundreds millions of dollars to first purchase the boat, and then millions of dollars again to pay for the crew, fuel and maintenance. Geared for Grandeur

Story by Anton Adianto

On film, expensive cars abound, especially with the large number of films depicting fast cars and racing plots, complete with their luxurious settings. Notable vehicles driven by the likes of Elvis Presley, Steve McQueen, and Nicolas Cage, are just several of the most coveted items wanted by private collectors around the world. Even more impressive is that the value of those cars multiplies significantly, compared with their original price, after appearing for just a few minutes on the silver screen.

So, to make matters simpler we have selected a list of ten of the most expensive buildings in the world—to stress the extravagance and opulence associated with luxury. The obvious criterion to make it on this list is the cost of construction. Although not many of the following projects are willing to disclose their expenditures in detail, we have managed to come up with a valid estimate of the numbers, and are sharing them with you here…
