There is a common notion that luxury is akin to things originating from the western world, which is not entirely true. In fact, there is no particular connection between any culture in the world and what is perceived as luxury. the essence of luxury itself should not be motivated by arrogance, and this is the message that this house is trying to convey. Completed in 2015, this exquisite Surabaya residence that boasts a tropical aesthetic uses its locality as the main thread of the design, creating a fine example of Eastern-inspired luxury that is derived from the theory of contextuality.
