A Heritage Delight

Most residents of Bogor believe that their hometown has a strong link with Pakuan, the capital of the Padjajaran Kingdom. Another idea states that sixteen centuries ago, during the fifth century, Bogor was the location of the Hindu Kingdom Tarumanegara. Regardless of the authenticity of each theory, the modern Bogor is blessed with various old structures and locations left behind by the Dutch when they occupied the city in the 17th century. The quaint colonial heritage style of the city has inspired the development of a new hotel, THE 1O1 Bogor Suryakancana which is located in the old Chinatown and only 10 minutes away from Bogor Botanical Garden.
