A Class of National Pride

Garuda Indonesia’s First Class Lounge is located on the ground floor of Terminal 2 building in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Cengkareng, Indonesia. Large enough to accommodate up to 40 people, the lounge features an ultra-luxury design and breath-taking ambiance. The interior is designed by QSpace, a design consultant firm famous for its works in sophisticated office buildings. Indonesia Design is proud to have received incredible privilege to be the only design magazine available in this lounge.

The lounge opened its doors in March 2014 and showcases a distinctive design concept that differentiates it from other existing lounges inside the airport. The luxury ambiance was one of the requirements drafted by Garuda Indonesia to appreciate passengers who have paid to have the ‘first class’ brand stamped on their boarding passes. The concept to pamper passengers with a more personal touch has set the lounge apart from the existing Garuda Business Lounge that is located one floor up.

The First Class Lounge successfully merges arts and the love of local products with sophisticated luxury. This is where the national pride stems from and it is something that is difficult to express in words. It gives us tremendous pride to cooperate with a well-known Indonesian brand such as Garuda for five consecutive years.
