There are a lot of monikers used to describe Achmad Noe’man as one of the legendary architects in Indonesia. Some call him the Indonesian Maestro of Mosque Architecture while others refer to him as the “Architect of a Thousand Mosques”. Ever since he initiated the establishment of Salman Mosque in ITB, Bandung, the man who was born in Garut on 10th October 1925, has been frequently commissioned to build various mosques across the country, and even abroad. In addition to the deeply ingrained philosophy of architecture design, his faith as a devout Muslim has made him present his works in adherence to what is written in the Holy Al-Quran and Al Hadist.
